There is really no way that you can sit in a car and listen to Noah and the Whale without singing along to Five Years Time or smiling giddily. It isn't really possible. I'd like to see you try.
You really have to stop yourself from tapping your feet (and thus pushing on the gas) as you sing "LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!" or feel the air blowing through your windows on your drive down through the Castro to the Mission. The song matches the feelings that it evokes. It is kind of like one of those onomatopoeia words... except that it isn't. If that makes sense.
So as the song plays, we drive down to Valencia Street and over to 18th. Walking down Clarion Alley, we peruse the murals, picking our favorites, wanting to add to them. We smile and photograph them.

We drive down to Balmy Alley too, wishing that we had bicycles. The sun shines bright in the sky and we skip past the murals, our cameras shooting out from our extended arms. Painted faces cover corners and garage doors. Plants sprout out from cracks in the cement.

The Mission is full of wonders.
We head over to 826 Valencia and The Pirate Shop (that I've discussed here). We find Tinkerbell's cage. We don't make fun of the pet fish. The mop falls on us.
We stop in a unique toy store that only sells antique and hand made toys. Colorful glass marbles, hand sown masks, wooden cars, and shadow puppets.
We get delicious pastries at Tartine Bakery. We swoon over the taste. Words cannot describe their bread pudding or croissants. They melt in our mouths. Tea washes them down.
We play on the swings at Doloras Park.
We go home happy.
